How To Make Relationships Work — In Fantasy and in Reality

You could say that maintaining a good relationship involves having love in both a fantasy world and in the real world.  How so?  We all crave the type of love that is larger than life.  This is why we go to the movies.  This is why we read romantic novels.  This is also why some people are willing to enter bad relationships—because of the thrills and the passionate embraces. 

You should always be willing to love in the fantasy world.  Be passionate about the one you love and let your heart sing.  Be dramatic and be fearless when it comes to telling the one you love how you feel.  This earns you respect and is really the stuff that makes life worth living! 

At the same time, you must balance that fantastic sense of love with a more realistic view of love.  You have to love your partner beyond the passion, the sex and the romance.  You have to love someone so much that you are willing to take care of him or her when there is sickness, hard times or nothing fun to do all week.  The real world view of love, not surprisingly, catches many passionate paramours off guard.  Sometimes new lovers are not prepared to see the ugly side of committed relationships.  You may love your partner now, but do you love them in sickness and in health?  Do you love this person regardless of how their viewpoints or attitudes may change?  Do you love this person even when they are at their lowest ebb?

There are probably a million guys or girls out there that can offer you one or the other.  They can offer you a fantastic love, full of dramatic displays, passion, and intrigue the likes of which you will never experience again.  Or, they may be able to offer you a very real love, a strong routine of physical and emotional protection.  They want to be someone you can grow old with and you can sit with on the dullest of ordinary days.

Needless to say, the woman men adore can combine the fantastic aspects of love with the real world view of love. This is a person who you will never grow bored with, and one that you can count on even in times of distress. You may have to search for a while before you find that perfect lover. In the meantime, take a look in the mirror and determine if you can grow in your perceptions. When you finally do meet your match, you will be ready to sweep that person off his/her feet!
